This really could be the missing piece. Legendary coach in pro and college and street cred as someone who knows how to make "strong ass" offers as they say. Larry been practicing for the NIL era his whole career. Finally he can get some dudes paid and not worry about NCAA hammering him!

There's no could to this at all.... To "say less" as possible LB started a culture at SMU that was destined for CHAMPIONSHIP status....Just put that in perspective SMU.....Those teams were on the cusp of G-League competitive, for sure, they were MEN, playing a mans brand/style of basketball....Definitely NOT boys.....This is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE....can't say enough about coach Penny and his will/determination to "ALWAYS BE
LEGENDARY" Dayum...sounds like our new bball motto

Nothing public. If LB had gone anywhere else not competing on recruits he'd congratulate LB over twitter or in an interview.

This was already in the works, obviously. And then the Orlando thing came along and delayed it. Once Orlando went away, LB was announced. It really is that B&W.

LB already had a place in town 2 weeks ago and began renovations. There was no negotiation leverage at play.

The AD negative nellies have been proven to be chicken littles or pot stirrers - take your pick.

You're overlooking the fact that Penny tried to hire LB before.
