I presume they'll have a package with their usual great feast (sigh, probably jiggs dinner), bus ride...? Any word on when that will be announced?

UT Alumni association to announce their bus plans later this summer, after any remaining tickets go on sale to public-July 15th??

Don't think I've ever done it that way, I've just gotten the whole package; ticket, bus and feast. They'll just deduct the price of the ticket then?

Get those South Bend game tickets
At least we know now that the opportunity is somewhere in Sec 14 south end zone east side or 114-121 in the south end zone. Video behind us but Touchdown Jesus in full view

With a six ticket limit I would think that most people wanting to make the trip will have the chance. Every season ticket holder will probably not go. We are on the list!!

I don't know, for OSU game the package included tickets, bus and meal.
My understanding is that current season ticket holders and donors get first opportunity to request ND game tickets and must do so by July 15th.
Alumni Association has said information on bus trip will be made available later this summer.

What, no stop at Shipshewana to get some pie?

It's a bargain still for individuals and pairs, particularly the way gas prices are going. Parking, pike fee, gas, wear and tear, good feed, trying to drive home impaired after the big win.... Bus is the way to go. Of course tickets were supposed to be purchased by today and if you were waiting for Alumni info to buy a ticket.... hmmm.

Thanks for the info!

$100 per person, we will pass.... four us would be $400, so we can drive, stop for lunch (or bring with us for the drive), pay for parking and still save hundreds (and we can have a designated driver)

yikes. I know you say you are some high-falutin administrator within UToledo and we've had several opposing views on how UT sees "money," but most see a difference between "save hundreds" and not spend hundreds unnecessarily.

But using what is apparently the UT model of economics, I can say I saved BILLIONs of dollars last year when I opted for a small plot of land instead of the island.

03-wink

Anyhow, you FOUR, pick a good driver, drive carefully and watch out for a bus with crazy people on it. I still say the bus is a bargain for individuals and pairs. But to each their own.

Shipshewnana for pies? Intriguing but probably won’t have time. Then there’s Pie Town, NM

Not so sure how I spend my money and decide on what expenses are reasonable to me has anything to do with how the place I work at spends its funding (of which I have no voice or role in).

I get that the bus may be a value to individuals or pairs, but four of us can certainly spend a lot less than $400 driving a few hours ourselves, including tolls gas and lunch on the way. But to each his own.

Guess I should not surprised that once again you decided to take a topic and make a personal unwarranted attack.

Two weeks and NOW you throw a 03-hissyfit ? smh Your post was clearly a response to mine, which had in no way mentioned you or any topic you had addressed. In was in-fact, a very positive comment about the efforts of the Alum Assoc. So I responded to your response to further emphasize that positive. Big deal. I am very glad to read that you have no voice or role in how funding at UT gets spent. See there, I said a nice thing. We good?

You criticized UT with your own view point and he criticized you with his view point. So if what he said is a personal attack, then what you said was an attack on our alma matter! If you dont like what UT is doing, then just say four of us are driving to the game and leave the rest of your commentary out of it.

I’m with you Paul J. $100 is a lot. Especially for some old retiree like me. Being on fixed income you need to choose carefully how you spend. Besides that I live in Hillsdale and wouldn’t make a trip to Toledo just to wave at my family on the way back the other way. I wonder, would they pick up a hitchhiker

I'll try to get a window seat. Throw a stuffed falcon on the road and the bus might slow down enough I can grab you as we go by. You can have half my vittles.

how is "$100 per person, we will pass" viewed as an criticism or attack against UT??? It was simply an observation, yet his reply went right to a personal attack on me. See the difference is I commented about a cost I felt was to high, while he went right at me.
