Fun in the sun
My son-in-law, grandson and I got to watch the final three games of the softball tournament of the Red River Conference of NAIA during a trip to Louisiana this weekend. It had been scheduled to be hosted by LSU-Alexandria, but their field had water problems, so it was moved across the river to Louisiana College in Pineville. Very nice facility, great weather, getting to watch kids play for the love of the game. It was refreshing after all the Run for the Money we have seen of late in college sports. BTW, it was won by the University of Houston at Victoria, who had to win three straight to get the automatic bid to the NAIA playoffs.
