RE: Shakif Seymour
no news that I am aware of, or I would have posted in the NFL thread.

Has been a weird UDFA year though, with a much smaller pool of players given many elected to return to school for another year. Teams have not signed nearly as many players as in a normal year, for whatever reasons.

thanks, seems like NFL teams I follow signed about the same number as usual but suppose without workouts and combine, and weird CFB season for many teams and players (and some playing spring football) NFL teams may decide to sign fewer simply because they evaluated fewer this year

The case in point why he should have come back and play with the Rockets for another season.

It doesnt appear he recieved very good advice. He really could have improved his stock this year.

The young man lost like 5-6 members of his family in the past year. None of us know what he has been through, and the reasons he has for his choices.

Hope he gets a chance somewhere, but wish him the best whatever the future holds.

XFL will be back in 2022 (reportedly with some sort of merger or competition agreement with the CFL) so he may be able to get a look there as well.

That is so tragic and sad. I was not aware of that. I knew he lost his mom, which is tragic enough for any 20 year old, but losing 5-6 family members in such a short period is really hard to comprehend how challenging that has to be for him emotionally. Prayers to him and that he can get through this difficult time in his life. Just kinda wish he stayed with the team one more year. The team environment and support structure may have been good for him.
