If we have EITHER Cisse OR Malcolm only, and we add no one else, Jayden & Tyler keep schollies. (This is the one I bet on.)
If Cisse comes back, and Malcolm stays, and we add no one else, then either Jayden or Tyler becomes a walk-on.
For any person we add from here on - including Cisse if he comes back - someone loses a scholly (likely starting with Jayden).

I'm sure. That doesn't always mean they have all the info though.
If a scholly is available - which very well could be if either Moussa or Malcolm leave - then there is no reason that it wouldn't be given to Tyler.
Same thing for Jayden. I'm sure Penny knows he has it if he needs it. But he's never needed it in 3 years, so why would he pull it?

RE: Tyler Harris is.....back?
I do not understand why some are so hard on our Memphis boys. Tyler was pretty much what should have been expected of him. Again, he was never ranked superbly high. The fact that some of you put Allen Iverson or Joe Jackson expectations on him was your doing.
Penny clearly loves the Lou Williams type role player coming off the bench. That was Tyler two years ago and Boogie last year (until he became a starter). But I imagine that is what Penny is hoping to get with Tyler. A very matured player who can possibly come in and provide a really nice offensive spark for a 7-10 minutes per game. And if he gets hot then you leave him out there and let him shoot.

I like Tyler...But he just was not an effective offensive player...
He needs to learn to create for others because it just too difficult for him to get 'good' shots. He is giving up too much size.
And he has to freakin' knock down a high percentage of open 3's

Well, he was called on to start a lot when he was a freshman and he wasn't ready. The next year, his shooting % went up, as his role diminished.
I'm sure they've discussed what his role will be and it won't be a starter. He can provide sparks. And we can always use more 85% FT shooters.

We all went crazy when Lomax and Harris went elsewhere with Tubby, then here with Penny.
They were too short, then not too short, then too short. Bottom line ... It's Penny's boat ... He's the Captain ...
I would have liked to have seen Warren play ...
We've seen Tyler play. What next ... Coach Keelan ???

If Warren was scared off by losing minutes to Tyler then I'm not sure he was going to be an impact player TBH.

This. I always liked the kid and hope he does well coming back. I just wish he had grown 6 inches. I'm not saying there isn't a place for 5'9" players but it worked against him in his time here. Hopefully he's made some adjustments that will allow him to compensate.

Look at it this way: we know what to expect from this new player, unlike most. And I suspect he knows what to expect, as well.

Provided he gets a waiver to play he will be a walk-on. He has to get a waiver because he transferred last year.

He was such a brute!
maybe, but you are prolly the first to call him that. I was quoting a former assistant when I said 'maniac'.
https://watchstadium.com/sources-wichita...0-08-2020/
"He’s a maniac, a bully,” said a former assistant. “He disrespects people, brings up personal stuff, family, girlfriends.”
article written Oct/2020
In the past two years, 10 players have transferred from Wichita State, including seven after last season. That’s nearly double the national average, and an unusually high number of defections for such a storied program. Each player Stadium contacted said Marshall’s treatment of players and coaches they experienced and witnessed was the primary reason for leaving the program. Stadium spoke to eight of the 10 players who left over the past two seasons.
