Well, right now, Alabama A&M is ranked #28 in the FCS poll (in others receiving votes) whereas their opponent, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, is actually in the Top 25, at #24.
Both are unbeaten, so hard to figure how Alabama A/M should get the home spot. Especially since APB beat Southern, clearly the #3 team in the conference, on the road. 4-1 Southern is actually ranked ahead of A&M in the FCS poll, at #27.
So IMO, the neutral site is the fairest way to handle a situation where virus cancelations make normal tie-breakers difficult.
That said, it does suck to have a season with no home games. Southern only had one of their five games at home. In contrast, it seemed like Jackson State was playing at home, and on ESPN, every week, LOL. The SWAC did the best it could, I'm just glad we got in a modicum of a season.
