Big Grin Quay Holmes
I think Quay Holmes is putting up a strong case for being the best RB in the history of ETSU. His yardage totals might be impacted by this season being shortened by COVID, but definitely skill wise might be the best in ETSU history.

Quay Holmes
Brandon Walker was pretty stout back in his day. I can’t speak to the era before the mid 90s though.

I saw Earl Ferrell and was he ever a strong runner. But here in this era Quay is the best I have ever seen. His stats are proving it out and he simply wins games for us. The best thing is he will be back this Fall!

RE: Quay Holmes
Holmes is easily a top 10 RB in FCS right now and would be a feature back at any program at this level. His development has been a real treat to watch.

I think Ferrell was a more "powerful" runner. Those thighs were ridiculous. Holmes is also powerful, but not like that. He has a great ability to sense a seam opening up, and the concomitant skill to twist his shoulders to fit those holes whilst not losing steam. Probably about equal on speed. Ferrell also was a killer blocker. And yeah, he played several years for the Cardinals, including sometimes running back kickoffs - in addition to RB duties.
Ferrell would just as soon run over a tackler; Holmes would *prefer* to elude one.
