KSU Women's Golf is now through 4 tournaments this spring.

They have finished 4th @ the UCF Challenge, beat Michigan State @ Sunshine Shootout, 2nd @ Florida State Matchup, & 11th @ Valspar Invitational (Emily Price didn't play for some reason).

I noticed that Pimnipa Panthong transferred to South Carolina & Thitapa Pakdeesettsakul transferred to Purdue.

2 tournaments remain on the schedule (Clemson Invitational & Indiana Invitational) before the MAC Championships @ Silver Lake CC.

It will be interesting to see how the season finishes.

I hope the two transfers get some air time on Golf Channel and have a nice pro career.

If they were good enough to be pro, they probably would already be pro. Women's golf is different than men's golf. You usually know the athletic and golfing peak of a woman golfer in her late teens as opposed to men, who seem to be grow more in their twenties. The great women golfers in the last few decades did not come from the college ranks.

Agreed but I wonder if the women know that.

Women's golf is an a uncharacteristic 2nd place after round one (3 rounds total) of this years MAC tourney, but have now taken a 5 shot lead early in the 2nd round.

Well just when I thought college sports sickened me with the transfer portal and free agency we lost 2 prime female golfers? WTF!? And South Carolina...mehhh, but Purdue?

The South Carolina was more of a 1 for 1 trade lol. Emily Price transferred to Kent from South Carolina and was SEC Freshman of the Year. Free agency now, trades coming next!

All sports are plagued by transfers. I notice the more coverage they get on ESPN the more they transfer.

Don’t worry about the golf team though. They’re up 27 after round two of three rounds.

Aren't Chloe Salort and Kory Nielsen graduating this year? And aren't they really #3 and #4 (ahead of Hoogeboom)?

There are 49 women playing in the MAC tourney. Only four of them are nationally ranked in the top 100. All four play for the same #13 nationally ranked team.

I know we are good but when you win 22 in a row that has to make you wonder how bad the rest of the MAC is. I believe we haven’t even been challenged (less than 10 strokes) more then 2 or 3 times.

NCAA Regionals are underway.

Flashes are currently tied for 4th and have finished their round.

Tied for 5th at +3. Seventh place is +8 so we have a 5 stroke cushion.

Looks like will finish in 4th after day 2, 6 shots clear #7

Currently hanging on to the last spot by 2 shots with about 3 holes left for Kent, but Oklahoma (#7) is in the club house. Suspense!
