Hammock always mentions him when talking QBs - and was excited to have him back from injury this past week. He might already be the best passer on the team.
That’s a pretty low bar so far. At least that’s how it seems.

Can he run?
Evasive....kinda like Harnish?

As I was saying...

At wide receiver he said Tyrice Richie, Cole Tucker and Trayvon Rudolph are known quantities. The guys catching his eye beyond those three are Mohamed Toure, Messiah Travis and Billy Dozier.
Hmmm...Fabian McCray?
From what little I’ve seen of McCray and Toure, McCray > Toure. What is the deal with McCray not, apparently, being on the radar?
Excited about Dozier, he looks like he could be a quality contributor. Has Travis been injured throughout most of his time at NIU?
Glad the coaches finally recognized.

I’m not sure what the hard hat award is for...but any accolades Cox can earn is great. If he steps up this season it will be a HUGE piece of the puzzle.

I never thought he was bad, just awkward. I think snaps might fix it, some technique fixes will help, and just another year in they system will help it.
He's a weird tackle...like I said, he just seems awkward out there, not bad or anything. I feel like that's something that can be fixed. If it continues I would kick him inside to guard...that said I thought he looked better the last couple games of the season so maybe he is taking that step and will really dominate.

One of the coaches mentioned that he’s playing at a high level right now, which must mean he’s improved.

That’s great news - he has played a bunch over the past 2 seasons. Sometimes it takes a second for a guy to get comfortable.

He seems more of a right tackle. Was hoping on of the more agile big men would grow into it.

Eddie Carifio's article in today's Chronicle (get a subscription, it's really cheap) makes it sound like Hampton is in solid contention for the backup QB position.

If he’s your best passer...I have to imagine he gets a ton of snaps in 4 games or less. I would just hate to burn his redshirt if there aren’t any injuries

Thank you Pritzker! Because of your shutdown, Hampton was not able to show his skills.
