Almost fainted when Reece took that airball 3 with 10 seconds left on the shotclock...a win is a win though

Malik needs to pass, 1 on 5 doesn't work very often. He got greedy at the end of the game and it almost cost us.

I expected a little crisper play but it’s a win nonetheless. I had to miss most of the game, I guess it was the part where Green played well. We still have a lot to clean up on offense. FAU didn’t seem as bad as their stats coming into the game. They hit some tough shots. Meanwhile we are still shooting air balls. I saw a few nice dishes from Curry, but I agree with BBM that he should be looking more for open shooters when he drives. Everybody knows he wants to take the last shot so defenses collapse on him. Reece still needs to slow down some and get in control. Same with Trice. Just go up strong. Did Green always have that kick in his jump shot? If so I just noticed it for some reason. I’d really like to see us box out better when we play zone. Giving up too many O rebounds. Let’s clean some of this up tomorrow and have a more convincing win.

I really like Trice. Powerful but with good footwork and a nice touch. And most importantly can hit FTs

I've only seen a few minutes of several games, but again tonight, it looks like our guys are playing in sand. Like they struggle to move one foot in front of the other. Anyone else seeing that? Are they tired 10 minutes into 2nd half?

Happy for a win though.

My overall impression of this years team is they’ve sped up the game leading to a little more offense and a little less defense but at times they’re tripping over their feet trying to move at that pace. Maybe they’ll get adjusted, IDK. The offensive output is more balanced than its been in years though so that’s good.

The defense is much worse even pace adjusted.

That was my unqualified impression also. But, interestingly, Coach Jones made a point of complimenting the team’s defensive performance in his postgame interview.

The D is bad. With 8:04 tp play ODU was up 63-54 and Ingram was keeping FAU even that close (26 pts, 5-5 FG in second half). JJ (belatedly) put X on Ingram and he held him scoreless the rest of the game (0-3 FG, I inferred this was the D JJ was proud of). However, the rest of FAU went 5-7 FG (3-3 3s) but 0-3 FT. Meanwhile, ODU went 2-8 FG and 4-6 FT. ODU survived with FTs but it was hardly a well played end game.

I didn't hear but we gave up 1.08 ppp to FAU and they shot 56% from 2 and 37% from 3. Thats not good. The offense was really good though.

I don't know what game you were watching if you think the offense was really good. Maybe the FAU defense was just really bad, because the offense looked like the Washington Generals at times.
