I love his arsenal-- already 3 quality pitches including a 91 MPH heater (which will likely tick up in velocity by the time he arrives on campus next year), and hammer curve and a sinking, tailing changeup (unusual for a high schooler to already have this pitch).

He’s a sophomore at a JUCO so I don’t think he’s a 2024 commit.

Yep, 100% in the Ed Small fan club.

Clint coached one of my kids when the boy and Ed were on the same team. Life lessons imparted. Clint remains very supportive of all the boys he coached, even years later.

Just not sold on a system where HS freshman are committing.

Saw something today about an 8th grade pitcher from NC committing to Mississippi St. Agree that it makes no sense. They are verbal commits, so maybe lots of qualifiers on those.

100% agree commit comment. Sadly, in general, this will limit any opportunities at other schools, in this case UT, decide they over committed a class, coach change etc. Good for him if it all works out.
