Question, Chiefsfan
According to the guys on ESPN3 today, Arkansas State is picked to finish first in the West this season (in basketball). Did I miss something? Are you guys supposed to be really good this year? I acknowledge not following sports like I normally have, during this pandemic, but I had no clue you guys were predicted to be that salty this season. If true, tell us what you got.

I think it was wrong. Us and Georgia St. were picked to lead the divisions. That wasn’t the only screw up during the game though as they didn’t know Isaiah Palermo’s real name and said someone else’s name that wasn’t even on our team.

Those 2 guys calling the game were pretty bad. I almost turned down the sound to listen to tucker on the radio. Instead I decided to chill and get another beer.

LOL. We're picked 4th in the West. You guys are picked first. They got the two of us confused.

We have 8 players who haven't played a minute of D1 basketball before. Its going to take time to get them to adjust. Nonconference is going to be pretty rough overall.

Had a mixed bag yesterday against a good Marshall team. At times we played well, keeping the game close, especially defensively. However the offense had real trouble with communication, so there were a ton of turnovers and not very many assists. Marshall ended up going on a late run to win by 14.

I think we've got a shot to finish league play .500 or so, but thats probably the best we can get.

Thanks, Chiefsfan. Them getting us mixed up makes sense. Not the first time I've seen that happen.

This is probably the first year I haven't had plans to go to most basketball games in a while. Capacity limits make it hard enough, that I'm just not sure I want to watch a bad team play.

The Wolves performance so far clearly confirms your opinion.
