We've already got a school from Indiana. Actually South Bend might as well be Michigan.
As a disclaimer, I am not an adherent of the market model however, in any trade between P-5's the core market and the periphery matter. It matters because of how media changes advertising and viewing habits in a DMA. I think you can sell a marginal game on the periphery of the core area. Core, plus adjoining DMA's put Purdue at about 4.8 million homes, NC State at 4.2 million homes, and Auburn at 4.2 million homes.
For Purdue the two big DMA's are Chicago and Indianapolis. Of course Purdue is not the top draw. Same goes for Auburn and Atlanta and Birmingham and NC State and Raleigh and Charlotte. Actually a three way switch should make everyone some money.
NC State to the B10
Auburn to the ACC
Purdue to the SEC
The point is these are three similar cow colleges that are politically inferior to their in-state rival.
Hey, I just thought about it - the Land Grant Cow College Conference:
North:
ISU, MSU, Purdue, UK, Ohio State, Penn State, MD
South:
VT, NCSU, Clemson, Auburn, UGA, UF, MSU
