I’m curious how they got the numbers on the Tulane/South Alabama game considering the Florida State/Georgia Tech game that was delayed got moved to ESPN2. Tulane/USA was originally set to air and that game got moved to ESPN News for a majority of the first half. Also the time references 9PM (I’m assuming EST) and our game started at 7:30 EST.

So no SEC, Big Ten, PAC, Texas (LHN), or Oklahoma (pay-per-view) to compete with and this is the best the ACC could do?

One thing appears very clear to me, The ACC needs Notre Dame a hell of a lot more than Notre Dame needs them.

Maybe Louisville vs. Miami will make things look a little better this weekend?

Sports ratings are down significantly across the board for whatever reason.

The ratings will pick up when the SEC starts playing and the Clemson vs. Notre Dame matchup. Big 12 will improve with conference play.

If the idiots in the BIG ever get their heads out their a$$es that will help too.

I'd say also Ga Tech/FSU was hurt by the weather... The one good thing by and large starting later in the fall for sure avoiding that.

You have people like myself in parts of the country with nobody in the fight. You would think FSU/GT would draw extraordinary numbers, right? That is one of the top 2 teams historically in the ACC and people starving for football really didn't watch. I just don't understand, what am I missing?
I get it, pro sport TV ratings are down, but college hasn't carried the baggage they have the past couple years.

Oh well, off to the next week.

Thanks for posting, stever20, I always enjoy your efforts.

The ratings are down because a lot of fans do not agree with any schools playing. Like me, there are a lot of us don't want the student athletes career ended by the virus.

This is a point I hadn't considered. There could be a sizable portion of the CFB audience boycotting the season for player safety.

We likely all know some folks who are not watching sports (college and pro) for many reasons: virus, politics, abbreviated seasons, lack of interest due to few, if any, fans in the stands, etc.

I watched some NBA action (Denver vs. LAC) last night and enjoyed it.

I think “a lot of fans” is a bit of an exaggeration. While there may be some people who are concerned, I would tend those are more casual fans than hardcore fans. I think we will see an uptick with the SEC starting to play, and better matchups from the other conferences. However, I think ratings will be lower than normal with everything going on.

A NC-UCF game may have helped.

Exclamation RE: 2020 College Football TV Ratings top 10 games- thru week 2
the week one games should enjoy their top-ten stay while it lasts...
they won't survive week 4, if they even managed to outlast week 3. I think there were at least three games that probably broke the one-million-viewer mark, and possibly even 2-3 more
