Lincoln Pare
Whats the scoop on this player? Did he even get a look by the Tigers?

Been the talk of A-State's fall practice. They have some good RB's but when it comes to Pare A-State coaches said they went fishing for catfish and caught Moby Dick.

Saw him against Collierville and knew immediately I wanted us to at least offer him a PWO spot

So, should this be moved to the recruiting forum like two years in the past?

I remember one of his trainers and others on social media urging Memphis to take a look and make an offer back before signing day. Glad he got an FBS offer and took it. Looks like Ark. St. got a good one.

Think Navy also jumped in with an offer.

Their coaches started tripping all over themselves raving about him from the start of fall practice, and he is averaging 10.9 ypc in actual games. Can't recall then being so hyped about a player, and I think he was their lowest rated recruit.

Know kids that played with him and know him. They all love him and he's a tough kid. That said, when he was being recruited we had Gainwell, Clark, Martin, Watkins, Weaver, Taylor, Cam Fleming on roster and had Grandberry and B. Thomas, Korey Gainwell coming in. We've put four RB's in the NFL and Gainwell is a top 5 RB projected in the draft. I like our talent evaluation from the previous staff and the current staff. PWO was all he was gonna get from us. Just like the Walker kid at Wake.

Seem like I remember the Tigers wanted him to walk on. Might have been a case of the coach that was looking at him left the program to go with MN to FSU.

He got some good playing time against the Tigers. did a fairly decent job too.

Based on the the talent in your RB room I can see where a PWO was the best offer, but surprised he did not get one.

They had all their RB's back, including some young RB's that held multiple P5 offers they were really excited about seeing this year, but Pare seems to have moved ahead of them. At the rate he is going he might get ahead of all their RB's.

Pretty interesting article here. Seems we were on him pretty good but something must have changed. Could be the Martin transfer (not sure of the timeline) or getting Grandberry.

Pare has made some big plays in the running game on National TV this year that has wowed everyone, but last night he came up big in the passing game to give A-State the win. This kid is special.
