I'd love to see TJIII shred Miami for 4 or 5 TD's. Dude has worked hard in the classroom and battled through injuries to get to this moment.

Carpe Diem young man.

I hope we win, but this is going to be a much different Miami team than last year. King at QB and a new offense under Lashlee is likely going to be painful for us. Hoping they have first game jitters. We haven't fared well in games against P5 competition under Clark.

In general, we have too many games where we get absolutely blown out. Out of our 13 losses since The Return we have lost by an average of more than 3 TDs in those games. Seems like when we've gotten down in some of these games the wheels have just absolutely come off. I guess that is just how it goes with a turnover/penalty laden team.

Miami is trying to install a new offense in the middle of the pandemic.
King will likely improvise and count on his athleticism.
Miami may not sustain long drives and hopefully will make some mistakes that we can take advantage of. If we can contain King, we can win.

Yep I agree with the article.. time for us to stop crapping the bed in the first 5 minutes or less of these games and being competitive. We’ve played scared and dumb in these games way too much, which has led to way too many embarrassing losses. We would’ve had legit chances to win without super early, awful mistakes against TAMU and UT.

We bounced back against Texas A&M. Everybody remembers the opening screw up, but nobody seems to recall the touchdown drive and 3 and out that followed. It’s back to 0-0 with the momentum in our favor at that point. We held our own that entire game, and the final score was a bit deceiving. We had 3 missed field goals and a missed extra point in the game. If we make even a couple of those at the time in the game they occurred, it puts more pressure on A&M. I actually thought Clark did a really good job of going into that game with a solid game plan, the players just didn’t execute.

I'm a G5 guy. I was very aware of what SMU did last season. Miami is going to be uptempo as hell, they have South Florida P5 talent, and all it takes is a little crease or rusher overrunning the play for D'Eriq King to go a long way fast. I want the big game as much as the next Blazer fan, and this would be a great time to force a bunch of turnovers while not losing any, but I'm afraid this will be a very tough nut to crack.

Play smart, guys. Focus and effort.

This is a good take (at least I hope so). I don't know if they got any work in in the spring, but it's been a limited summer, with lots of distractions, and that is no small challenge to install a whole new offense, with a new OC and new QB. No doubt they have the athletes, and King is a Kyler Murray lookalike at QB, but I hope they are still figuring things out and won't be nearly as in sync as they will be later in the season.

My hope as well. Catching them on their first game could well be helpful. That said, Lashlee brought a couple of Asst. Coaches with him, so that helps them.

Shrug. We'll see soon.

Go Blazers!!!
