Every college football team's greatest win 2000-2019
For most of the teams in the Sun Belt the choices are probably obvious but still a neat video. I assume South, Texas State, and Troy will be in part 2 and will features wins over Miss State, Illinois, and LSU.

App State
Arkansas State
Coastal Carolina
Georgia Southern
Georgia State
Louisiana
ULM

Ours will probably be our 2012 win over Houston. Simply cause we were like 34.5 point underdogs. That was our very first game as an FBS team, its been all downhill since then....

Troy beat LSU in 2017, but we did beat #17 Missouri in 2004.

EDIT: Looks like you meant to say 2019, and not 2013 in the thread title, in which case Troy's biggest win is #25 LSU.

Getting that win over #8 Arkansas was certainly sweet and probably is our greatest win considering the circumstances and recognition we got. Our narrow losses the following two weeks to Auburn and Baylor probably got us even more national attention.

Personally I still favor the 2007 win over Alabama. That was a real fight and I've told people that if we had been wearing purple and gold that game would have been considered a classic. Jermaine Johnson called it the third worst defeat in the history of Alabama football. Well, we earned that win.

I remember the hype day all of that Baylor game. It felt like they talked about it all day on ESPN.

RE: Every college football team's greatest win 2000-2013
I sure would have liked to have finished strong and won either (or both) of our games against GT and UGA. A crazy play got ruled a fumble when we were driving down the field, and then we let GT come back and score with about a minute left to beat us. We took UGA to OT and then absolutely fell apart.

Those would have been nice to add to the ledger and would negate some of the "you beat a terrible UF team" comments.

NCST 2014
GT 2014
UGA 2015
Minnesota 2019

One small misstep kept us from winning each of those games. Hoping to finally break through and get a win soon, perhaps against Kiffin's fresh Ole Miss squad this year.

This should've been our biggest win... and probably one of the biggest upsets in CFB history... until we got absolutely hosed by the ACC...

You're correct, it is 2000-2019. My bad.

Should have been a win. That game was more contested than their majority of their ACC games...

Clemson (ACC) tried to roger us in ‘99 and DID roger us in ‘87 at NC State.

Just to play along, our biggest win in this period was probably beating #6 Kansas St. in Manhattan, KS. K-State went on to win the Big 12 that year.

Our biggest win in history was beating Xavier in the first home game of 1971.

Troy has had a lot of those games. #9 FSU and #21 GT in 2006 both got away from us late in the 4th. LSU 2004 and 2008 were both nail biters that we eventually lost, one of which a late touchdown was called back on a phantom holding call.

Agreed. That was awesome. The hype of winning that game followed by the home opener in the newly renovated stadium against Tech.

I was not around for the 81/82 Nattys.
Aside from the 05 run, I have never seen Bobcat pride at such a fever pitch.

While thce win over K-St was great because it was over a P5 team, it certainly wasn't K-St's best club. It was Bill Snyder's first year back as HC.

For my money, the best win was 2006 at Houston. Kevin Kolb was the Houston quarterback and jumped out to a 21-0 lead. Cajuns came back to win, 31-28 on a touchdown with 1:02 to play.

And it was against Art Briles, which made it even better.

Houston has refused to play us since then.

One could argue USA's greatest win was against #19 San Diego State who won the Mountain West title, Las Vegas Bowl and finished 11-3.

The Miss State win is probably the greatest even though the Bulldogs were unranked when we played and finished 6-7.
