Opinion: Dolphins' plan for holding games that account for social distancing...
Opinion: Dolphins' plan for holding games that account for social distancing is practical, refreshing
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/co...078932001/
In an interview with "Good Morning America," Dolphins president Tom Garfinkel outlined a number of ways in which attending football games might look different for the time being, including new processes for ingress and egress, cleanliness measures for the building and a system for concessions where food would be ordered from a seat and picked up rather than people waiting in lines.
If you want to come to a game, you have to wear a mask. People are going to be sitting staggered every few seats. You’re going to have to pick up your beer at a specific time. You won’t be able to leave in the middle of the fourth quarter to beat traffic but rather exit when your row is called. These would be big changes, but they’re honest proposals — and much more realistic than the idea of 110,000 people in the stadium for Alabama-LSU this fall.

It's like they enjoy finding ways to lose money.

"People are going to be sitting staggered every few seats."
In the case of the Dolphins, people are going to be sitting staggered every few sections!
R.I.P. Don Shula, it's been a **** show down there ever since you retired.

At least we won’t have to social distance at our games, not this year anyhow.

I have a feeling that attendance everywhere will be down in the fall.
Way too many people that are terrified of this to not be.

I have plenty of space (I sat on the visitors side) at the games so no worries. Go Blazers!

Most pro teams are operated as income tax shelters for their billionaire owners so losing money is desirable to a point. Congress used to allow "accelerated depreciation" so an owner could write off a six year salary deal in three and then cut the player or trade him since he was then all cost with no tax benefit.

I would trust Frenchy's numbers. They aren't made up like some others. There's some factual stuff behind them.

Yes, I would trust Frenchy's numbers as well. That is based on the total cases.
A few antibody test studies suggest that the actual number of cases much much higher than the number reported (1.2m). A California study showed the actual number to be 50-85 times the number of reported cases. New York I think was 10-15 times. Most of the additional cases had little to no symptoms.
While those larger numbers are scary in many ways, it does indicate a much lower mortality rate.

The CDC has an agenda but of course one who bows to them wouldn't realize it.

Make a ****-ton of money off of a vaccine and remdesivir. That’s why they won’t suggest the FDA patent these other drugs that are working. They gotta find ways to line their pockets like they do every 2 years with a new pandemic.
