RE: MAC MBB Tourney @Kent
Disappointing end to a disappointing season. Actually I was much more disappointed when JT4, Jackson and Minnie lost at home last year because I expected sooo much more from that team. Thanks to this team for a November early December and three weeks in February when I thought this team could be something special. We all know what this team needs to work on in the off season right? FREE THROWS. Assuming Murphy is back it will be interesting to see which pieces stay and which pieces comes in. You look at Morgan and Montero and you can see they can score but not consistently game in and game out. We really need a take charge person out there on the court. I complain about Paris Jackson but there were times where he just took the team on his shoulders and ran with it.

Spot on. This team didn’t have a guy that could put the team on his back offensively, like most Murphy teams did. And right now, at least (with Toure graduating), we don’t have an anchor for the zone either. I don’t see how we will improve next season, unless someone like Morgan or Groce take a giant leap forward. Which is why it’s a perfect time to make a change. If money is the only thing preventing that, then we are a joke. As Frank said before, this is the reason we’ve cut other sports...to invest in the success of football in basketball. We’ve done so already in football, and it’s time to do that now with hoops.

1000 percent agree.......10-3 OOC, and then 6-13 MAC finish! Unacceptable after 9 seasons! Next up Earl Boykins!

Time for a change and I listened to Chad Bush's post game interview with Murph and he completely threw Toure under the bus!!! Pretty amazing blaming a student/athlete when you are the only one getting paid to win games. Frankly, it was disgusting and low class. EMU basketball deserves way better.

Sam, you’re spot on. I didn’t get a chance to watch the game but heard we scored 70+ points and lost by 10. First off I can’t believe we scored that many points and I cannot believe we gave up that many points.
Time for all of us to not accept the current leadership running EMU basketball. EMU is a goldmine for an up and coming coach!!!!

All-conference teams were announced. Toure gets on the honorable mention team and defensive teams.
Loren Jackson of Akron is player of the year and John Groce is coach of the year.

RE: MAC MBB Tourney @Kent
I don’t see how anyone could vote for Loren Christian Jackson over Eugene German. Akron has several very solid players, while NIU without German would be one of the worst teams in the conference. He was by far the best player I watched in the MAC this season.
