Losing
We were 14-1 all time against Rice, and 7-0 at home...before last night.
We now have a three-game home losing streak for only the fifth time in the 42-year history of our program. We have only lost four straight at home three times, including LAST SEASON under Ehsan, but there's a good chance that we'll match that on Saturday, playing against the top team in the conference. Let's hope we turn things around and don't tie the record.
All-time home losing streaks:
4 - 2018-19 Rob Ehsan (20-15)
4 - 2013-14 Jerod Haase (18-13)
4 - 2011-12 Mike Davis (15-16)
3 - 2019-20 Rob Ehsan (14-10)
3 - 2006-07 Mike Davis (15-16)
We are currently 7-4 at home this year (5-4 against D-I competition), despite playing the easiest home schedule ever.

RE: Losing
Losing at home like this over and over is going to be the kill shot to the poor attendance numbers.
hundreds of students there last night to cheer for all their athletic team friends that got applauded at half-time.
I wonder how many show up Saturday...
eventually empathy is going to switch over to apathy and nobody is going to care at all for the program and we will be losing a generation of fans.

RE: Losing
According to the most recent publicly available data UAB is spending some of the most money in the conference on basketball and not really getting a return.
2016: $4,189,826 - Rank 2nd - Median was $2,884,247
2017: $3,369,190 - Rank 4th - Median was $2,694,940
2018 - $3,559,862 - Rank 2nd - Median was $2,978,370
To be fair there's not really any correlation between KenPom and how much money you spend in CUSA over this time period (0.09 R-Squared) but you can't be at the very top of the budget every year and not expect results.

Wow I did not realize this . Makes it even worse. And the spending has been there the whole time of Ehsan’s time, not just the last year or so
