Highest Ranked Quarterback to Sign with a Non-P5
https://247sports.com/Article/Evan-Prate...143278051/

Nice article on the highest ranked QB signed to a non-P5 and his decision to come to the University of Cincinnati. Prater is ranked the #45 player in the country according to 247 Sports. Article also goes into some detail about Cincinnati's recruiting under Luke Fickell and some of the momentum being built here (honestly something that has been about 15 years in the making but was stalled a couple years by the disruption of the old Big East and the subsequent hiring of Tommy Tuberville).

Fickell is so good that he'll probably be gone within 2 years...

It's always a concern, and frankly in this day and age everyone is ripe for a poaching (whether it is a school higher up in the CFB food chain or the NFL-- remember when Lane Kiffin left Tennessee to go to USC?).

Having followed the Cincinnati Bearcats for three decades I am just enjoying the ride.

As you should... hey, for awhile it looked like VT would lose its coach to Baylor of all schools (not because of money, but a homecoming of sorts). FSU lost a coach to Texas A&M (totally about money). It happens.
