Coach K has said that he planned to redshirt Maranka this season because he was not ready to play. He said that a lot of big men at the mid major level need that redshirt year. Knapke is a good example. Because of the Edu injury, he was forced to play a player who is not really ready. In his limited minutes, Maranka has shown some good potential.
