WBB hosting Buffalo at Noon...First Game of the Double Dip
The Lady Huskies 5-13 overall 1-6 MAC play will host Buffalo 13-6 overall 4-4 MAC play at noon today in the first games of the doubleheader. Buffalo was picked 2nd in the east behind Ohio has been running hot and cold so far at 4-4. They lost to Central Michigan Wednesday night at home in double OT. My hope is they come to Dekalb and start the game very lethargic and shoot the ball poorly while our Huskies come out smoking and build a lead at halftime and are able to hang on after a furious 2nd half Buffalo rally to earn the win. I’ll also be cheering for the Bears tomorrow in the Super Bowl. Go Lady Huskies!!

RE: WBB hosting Buffalo at Noon...First Game of the Double Dip
I'd like to see a starting lineup of Woods, Blackwell, Davis, Hunter and Starks, which went 1-1 and played well against Akron and OU, even in the loss. May and Nikitinaite 1-2 off the bench.

But obviously we'll see what Lisa Carlsen decides to do. Imo, hopefully if she goes with the run-and-gun, is able to swtich to the high-pressure defense and half-court if the shots aren't falling. No r-n-g for a full game like that (embarassing) loss to EMU.

In any case, GO HUSKIES !!!!!

Exciting day: Woods need 17pts to reach 2,000 for her career and German needs 21pts to reach 2,000 for his career

RE: WBB hosting Buffalo at Noon...First Game of the Double Dip
Great win, playing as a team right to the end. Sad for Woods not to get to 2,000 yet. Noted she could have shot but passed to a teammate for a better shot several times. Had 4 assists. NIU was down 14 and could have let it go but didn't.

Nikitinaite had a great game: 15 pts, 5 assists, hit 5 of 12 threes.
Woods: 15 pts, 4 assts, 3 of 8 threes.

Nice to see Ally May get the game-winner.

Good win-much needed by all (players-coaches-fans). Next game at Central Michigan 16-4...9-0 probably the best team to date in the MAC. Good luck Wednesday night Lady Huskies keep it going.

As of Jan. 31, CMU is #18 in RPI. NIU is #200. But Buffalo was #81. Sometimes stats can be misleading. But no doubt CMU the best MAC team.
