Baseball 2020
Thought I would start a thread for the upcoming year with a link to the tweet from coach about the clubhouse renovations

https://twitter.com/coachrobut/status/12...95584?s=21

Coach raised the money himself to get the work done to bridge until a move to main campus could happen

Do you want to help? Checks can be sent directly to his office:
Baseball Office
2801 W Bancroft St
Findlay Bldg - MS 408
Toledo, OH 43606

Or anyone can join the UT Dugout Club. Donations go directly to Baseball fund. Dugout members get benefits depending in level they give.

Regardless, all checks have to be made out to UToledo Foundation.

Reach out to the coach and he can send you or anyone Dugout Club Brochures.

Baseball America Conference ranks

https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/...l-preview/

Toledo is listed last behind Akron that did not have a program last year. Long way up

96 Seasons, 0 Conference Championships...yikes. Lets hope the new blood helps, I do like that he appears to be going after the JUCO Mercs a bit more than the previous staff.

For the first time since college, I’ll be making the trek to Toledo to catch a ball game. Feels like this could be a good season

It's not a live feed, but they do have their stat-tracker up. Looks like we're down 2-0 in the 4th and currently being no-hit...9 strikeouts in 13 ABs, talk about cold baseball...

RE: Baseball 2020
UT was picked to finish dead last in the MAC, even behind a program who eliminated its team in 2015 for a few years. I have zero expectations for UT baseball.

But I really have to question...If East Tennessee State can build a baseball stadium like the one below...why can't UT? If we can't get a stadium on campus, why not just cut the program and reallocate those funds towards the football/b-ball programs? Or NCAA DI ice hockey since this is a die hard hockey town.

Thomas Stadium (1,500 capacity): Opened in 2013, features picnic-style hillside seating along the baselines, a state-of-the art Daktronics LED video board, TV-quality lighting, modern concessions and restroom facilities, and a FieldTurf playing surface.

No they weren't. UT was picked 9th. OK so, that's still not that good, but at least they were picked to finish ahead of BUGS.

Lost game 1 6-2...ended up with 15 Ks in 32 ABs. That's not a great ratio.

The baseball preview posted in this thread has UT picked dead last.
