About time! Annual game between GSU and GT makes too much logistical and financial sense. Win-win for both institutions and fans. Not sure if it mattered but Tech AD is a Georgia State grad. I also heard he has close ties with Bill Curry, former GSU HC and a strong supporter of GSU athletics.

That's very nice. It will be like having an extra home game that season for the "visiting" players and fans since the stadiums are only 2.5 miles apart.
Should be an easy sellout at both stadiums.

The youth these days.

GT's AD is Todd Stansbury, letterwinner for GT FB while Bill Curry was HC for GT FB. So yes, you could say they have known each other for awhile.

Now kindly get off my lawn! 03-old

Looking forward for panama's posts or absence shortly after both games, and glad these games were scheduled in a time frame where the option roster will be completely turned over in full.

And if we played last year you would have won. But GT is entering a new Homer Rice era. They finally -- at long last -- have the right AD and the right President and both are alums. Every hire Stansbury (AD) has made has been a home run.
Collins is a Stansbury hire. And while the coaching staff has branches in many different coaching trees, you'll find this is really O'Leary 3.0 in Atlanta (Ross->O'Leary->Collins). You're going to see the same renaissance at GT in the 2020s you saw under Homer Rice in the late 80's and early 90's. If Collins keeps the ship pointed in the direction it is headed with the right support all the way up to the very top then they will be a very dangerous team with a loaded roster in 2024. Now to get rid of the last major non-Stansbury hire infesting the GTAA: Josh Pastner.

Congrats on the H&H, huge pickup for State.

After our games with them, I was hoping we'd do the same, it just never happened. I think our AD was more worried about money games than bringing in a P5 to Paulson. Hopefully that changes with the new AD.

I'm guessing you haven't seen either of those teams home attendance.

Great series pick up for State. Hopefully attendance woes dissipate before this game.

Will be insane at both sites. Two closest FBS schools to each other in the nation and a huge number of mixed (GT/GSU) families.

Does this mean there will be no merger?

This is a guaranteed sellout at both places. Way too much history involved.

I anticipate a home and home with the pig squealers to be announced any day now. BWWWWWwaaaaaahahahahaha! If their administration did that there would be pitchforks, rails and tar coming out of those backwoods to stop it. Good job Georgia State.

Lol. How can you even type that with a straight face?

You going to take over their stadium like you took over ours?

I am assuming you don't live in Atlanta and or know nothing about either school.
