RE: NFL should expand by 8 teams
The NFL is perfect with 32 teams. If/when the league expands to 17 games, then the "floater"/extra game every year should be a neutral site, or global, game (i.e. London, Mexico City, Toronto, etc.). It allows the NFL to keep the home/home with divisional opponents the same, as well as playing two opposing divisions annually. A team would then play the three other conference opponents that finished in the same division order the year prior (which, now, is two).
I would be all for realignment of the divisions, however. I know it would never happen for many reasons, but I would personally do this:
Move Baltimore to the AFC East (Baltimore, Buffalo, New England, New York Jets)
Move Miami to the AFC South (Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Tennessee)
Move Indianapolis to the AFC North (Cincinnati, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh)
Move Carolina to the NFC East (Carolina, New York Giants, Philadelphia, Washington)
Move Dallas to the NFC South (Atlanta, Carolina, Dallas, New Orleans)
