What happened to that edict from the Conference office a few years back about non-conference scheduling and monetary punishment for schools that didn't comply with the scheduling guidelines???

Ok. You have been hired as AD.

Make your move, tell us who you would hire, etc. and what they would provide for the program assuming the same setup that the current coach has in regards to conference, etc.

I think they got rid of the commissioner and hired someone who we still couldn't pick out of a lineup.

We won the league the year after we went to the NCAA tournament but lost in the conference tournament and went to the NIT instead.

Do we need to win the league each year or do we need to win the conference tournament each year or both?

The tournament champ gets the auto bid as I recall. Even better if we won both.

Ehsan needs to finish in the top 1-2 every year before we complain about the league holding us back

Is that finishing in the top 2 in the conference season or the conference tournament or both?

So basically you think we should be what Memphis was.

Should be easy if the league is as bad as you say. He should certainly be fired for the results he’s had in this terrible league

I was in New Orleans and missed this game. How badly did we lose? I know Duquesne was undefeated so it must have been like 30+ points. How quickly can we get Doc Sadler in here?

We should be much better in the NET/Kenpom ratings prior to conference play than we have been for the past few years. We are 1-11 versus top 100 teams in the OOC since Ehsan took over. We've had multiple WTF losses in the OOC and have only beaten 4 100-200 RPI teams in the OOC since Ehsan took over.

That is 5 wins in the top 200 RPI out of conference in 4 years. That's the worst this program has ever seen. Haase had a similar record with only 6 or 7 top 200 RPI wins in the OOC during his tenure. We've gone from being a competitive MBB program into some little sister of the poor team that might pull out an upset once in a while.

Freaking Mike Davis had 26 top 200 RPI wins in 6 years OOC here.

Other things of note:

-We shouldn't be doing things like losing to 10 win Troy teams at home.
-We shouldn't lose back to back games to 9 win MTSU teams (one at a home).
-We shouldn't be losing to an 8 win Charlotte at home

We especially shouldn't be doing all of the above in a single year like we did last year.

Losing to bad teams repeatedly (especially at home) is why our attendance is so bad. Has nothing to do with anything else and has nothing to do with our conference. We'd be getting wrecked if we were in the AAC right now just the same as we would easily be one of the worst teams in the conference.

With that said, I think this year is Ehsan's best coaching job so far. The reality is that it is too little too late

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Doc is the basketball version of Neal Callaway except he can't spit on the court like Callaway did all over Legion field.

Duquesne plays Marshall this afternoon. Doesn't mean anything to us but looking at how Marshall does against them will be interesting.

Marshall won, but it wasn't at Duquesne. It was in Cleveland.
