Herman probably has to make the Big 12 championship next year (at the least) to not get fired

Nice win. The first one I've seen at home over a FBS team in two years. We need to figure out who our QB is for next year - and maybe add a runner or two, but honestly if we keep everyone else, we do have the makings of a decent team at certain positions.

Chamberlain with a heck of a play to save the game.

Wow.

Wasn't Trammell - it was Knipe I think?

ETA - sorry maybe it was Trammell. I thought we had switched the return guys in the 2nd half for some reason to Ellerbe and Knipe, and I could have sworn I heard those two were the guys on that particular return. I just assumed it was Knipe instead of Trammell, but I guess I was wrong.

IIRC Rice was up 35-0 at halftime @Tulane in 2008, with the last TD coming on a blocked FG return at the very end of Q2.

Also, didn’t want to mention earlier (superstitious, I guess) but we did only three years ago TRAIL in a game 21-0 in the second quarter. Rice came back to win that game 22-21 in spite of going 0-2 on 2 point conversion attempts. Charlotte was the recipient that day.

Not unless the ground popped Trammel as he jumped in the air.

Am I wrong? Didn't ball pop out when elbow hit ground?

Rewatched the highlights (lowlight in this case). Ball was loose before the elbow touches.

OT, but Tucson is the home of UT’s RB recruit Bijan Robinson, who this season set the Arizona HS career rushing record.
