Yeah, it looks like say 5 did not dress or play:

1). Binelli,

2). Parris,

3). Gibson (inj),

4). Pacheo,

5). Gibbs
[
Wonder if Gibbs will redshirt. Surprised if Pacheo does

Thanks goodness for an easy break in schedule

Impressive performance, regardless of the opponent. EMU has not played that well before against anyone.

Good call. Last year’s box score against Siena Heights...

-we gave up 72 points. Was never really a blowout.

-shot 5-27 (18%) from 3. Somehow Minnie took 9 threes while only making 1. He had way too much of a green light.

-only made 65% of our free throws, which includes Thompson going 1-8.

We were better today in all of those facets, and the product was much cleaner to watch. What a difference it makes when you recruit basketball players and not solely athletes that fit your zone.

Binelli was in a boot with crutches. Uh oh. Hopefully he isn’t out for too long.

Same boot I wore when I tore my Achilles some years ago. I am sure it is a pretty versatile medical device for injuries in that area, but not a good sign. Reviewing the basketball release video someone posted earlier, I don’t recall seeing any video footage of Binelli.

Yes, indeed a good sign. This is what I bet his 10 deep rotation wil be. Murphy is exaggerating a bit about the extent of “without drop off”, but I definitely see his general point.

PG 6-3 Spottsville/ 6-4 Barnes
SG 6-5 Montero/ 6-2 James
SF 6-5 Morgan/ 6-6 Dillard
PF 6-8 Groce/ 6-10 Binelli (6-8 Ballard)
C 6-11 Toure/ 6-10 King

Those boots are used in a lot of situations. So it can mean a lot of things.
However, that boot plus crutches is concerning. It means either a bad injury (like a major tendon tear) or an attempt to speed healing to a minor injury (stress fracture/strained ligament). He is a big man, so it could be the latter.

During the game Binelli was standing up to celebrate and chest-bumping with the guys. I don't really know if that means it's a minor injury, but hope that we see him on the court sometime soon.

Show many healthy and eligible players do we have?
May be the year of the walk on

I thought I heard something during the telecast that he might be back soon.

I could be wrong so don't take it for fact.

Binelli out 3-4 weeks with a sprained ankle, per his Twitter.

Perhaps we get him back by the Valpo game. I doubt he plays in Jamaica.

Yes, great find! Thanks, Sam. I would rather he be healthy of course, but if the tram can hold their own for a few weeks, it might be a nice “turbo charge” deeper into the season when he returns.
