A poster compared our season to CMU and how they went from the 'outhouse' to well not the penthouse, but very respective G5 team...
"EMU Steve, with respect to you, because your love of EMU sports is unmatched, but we've gone from the worst to mid pack at best, and this is year 6...…..Keen is over his head, and isn't A D1 caliber coach! C Mich was 1-11, and has been playing with their backup QB a lot of the season, and there record is a little deceiving, because their OOC schedule was brutal, but McElwain in 9 months has taken the same team, and made them winners!!!!!!!! Creighton will never do that period! He plays to keep the games close, never goes for kill! Buffalo today never thought about kicking FG's on all those 4th and 2! They kicked are butts, and it was over...….Who on paper thinks C Mich has more talent then us? Coaching and game plan management separate winning from losing!"
I'm going to borrow a page from EMU79's playbook on recruiting.
I'm posting the 247sports recruiting rankings which he (and others) use to assess recruiting success.
Compare CMU and EMU for say 2015, 2016, and 2017. These are years which most effect the current team.

What what does this mean?
CMU out recruited us year in and year out.
Why didn't they win last year but are this year? It is NOT talent, in my opinion, but coaching. CMU went out a got a high profile coach.
I am NOT willing to blame the coaching staff for game day coaching if the problem is talent.
BTW, this is McElwain's Wikipedia page. He has won at Colorado State, FL and now CMU.

I'm a member of the 'why did CMU hire Bonamego?" club.
