After seeing the new arc actually painted on a court alongside the old one, I cannot imagine that it is going to have much of an effect. I figure most of the 3-point shots were taken from behind the new distance, anyway. Players are in such a habit of "thinking three," that a few more inches is not going to change their mind-set. We shall see, but my gut feel is that it is not going to make much difference.

I agree. And especially from the corner because that just barely changed.
