The 2019-20 UNCW sports season has officially begun! The Women's Soccer team took the field on Saturday night against the Richmond Spiders in an exhibition match. The Seahawk Ladies won in impressive fashion, 5-1. Senior Dominique Martinez, redshirt junior Grace Hersey and junior Audrey Harding each had a goal and an assist in the contest.

The Lady Hawks host another exhibition this Friday, Aug 16 against UNCG at 7 PM before opening their regular season on the road on Aug 23 against Furman in a tournament hosted by Charleston.

UNCG exhibition was canceled. Ladies open their season on Friday with a match against Furman in Charleston

Gameday for the ladies. Furman is SoCon Preseason #3 while the Lady Hawks are CAA Preseason #8

Ladies get a 2 - 1 win to start the season!

They were down 1 - 0 mid way through 1st half.

Tied it up soon after halftime with a header by Ashley Johnson and then a late goal by Freshman Emily Moxley won the game.

Great way to start the season!!

Hawks win 3 - 0 against Stephen F Austin. 2 and 0 to start the season

Coastal Carolina is tomorrow night. They were picked preseason #4 in the Sunbelt. They beat Charleston in an exhibition on the road (1-0) but have lost their first two regular season games v North Florida (2-0) and @Clemson (6-0)

Hawks took the first goal right before half and then got a second one shortly after half time. Coastal got a late goal but Hawks responded with a 3rd before the game ended

Sydney Schneider picked up where she left off from her play with Team Jamaica at the World Cup; she made a stop on a PK last night.

I know it's early, but have we ever had both or soccer teams start out with this many comnined wins and no losses?

Our teams have had a lot of exhibition wins, but only 3 true wins. Women's team have had a great non conference season so far, men had a rough start today.

Women dropped a close one at VCU. Let up a half goal before equalizing in the 78th minute. VCU scored the game winning goal in the 86th minute.

ECU game postponed. Next game at Wake

#25 Wake Forest won today's match 2-0.
Tough weekend for tQEhe Hawks against ACC schools

A strong 5-1 win against Middle Tennessee to rebound after the Wake loss. Up next is a home game against Va Tech

Va tech was at wb this morning next to mercers doing drills.
