Former Bronco and Yankee pitcher, perhaps more famous as author of Ball Four, died Wednesday.

Surprised gbl missed this one. Must be on vacay.

Was the first sports "tell all" book, made Bouton a pariah in baseball circles for long time.

It sure did. I don't think I ever pulled so hard for a guy as I did his games in that call up September of 1978. That game he lost 2-1 against the Big Red Machine was like a playoff game for us Broncos listening.
