The new league wouldnt be a bad league for SU if you replaced Memphis with UCF or USF.

If the SEC kicked out Vandy, Missouri, Arkansas.
Ga & Ala would have to play each other
There goes half of the playoffberths, 2 div races,
Ratings drop, SEC would come back to earth

Everybody would play other yearly, so there is that

B-12 has to make move to keep up

Pretty sure the OP is thinking of revenue per school, and simply going with the obvious fact that every P5 conference would increase revenue per school by losing its two least valuable members.

But as for titles: How much does it benefit a program when another program in its conference wins? Wake Forest and Boston College don't get a trophy or hang a banner when Clemson wins in football or Virginia wins in basketball, and I would be extremely surprised if Wake or BC sees an increase in ticket sales or donations as a result of conference mates winning titles.

Then he is just assuming that the TV networks are going to be willing to maintain the same level contract for far less content. History has shown that is a 50/50 proposition at best. They were willing to do so with the Big XII but they were not willing to do so with the Big East.

It also isn't taking into account the nature of the Big XII's media rights contract being split between ESPN & Fox and neither wanting to see the conference split and the possibility of all the valuable parts going over to the competition.
