Okay, I am unlocking this thread but I expect this to be a low traffic thread only for myself and the GMs. If you wish to add commentary / etc please do that back in the original thread.

Now on the clock: Patriot, C-USA, Pac-12

So the top-picking FCS, G5 and P5 are drafting at the same time?

Yes, there should be no cross over for now so it shouldn't be a problem. That probably won't happen in the last round or two though.

Hold on, Hokie Mark has given me two picks now while I was making a pick for the SoCon. Dammit Mark make up your mind.

I'M OK with whatever you rule.

TN is what you sent most recently. Big 12 is on the clock.

What the hell is going on? Who did the Big 12 pick? Tennessee? Who did the ACC pick? L.S.U.? Shouldn't the SEC be on the clock?

Mark: "Scratch LSU - JR is playing hard ball. I'm taking Tennessee." Sounds like he wanted to take LSU to sling LSU but the buyer had other ideas.

I mean it was posted and then I posted...

How about this ... you decide. You want TN? Fine, ACC gets LSU. But decide now.

I’m fine if ACC wants Tennessee but I won’t be able to pick until tm night then. Have a busy day and research to do.

Very well, you're on the clock.

Trade Proposal:
The AAC and Big 12 have come to a trade agreement. The AAC will send Memphis to the Big 12 in exchange for West Virginia and Oklahoma.

If any GM wishes to protest the trade, begin your strongly worded letter to the editor here.

Yeah! As worded it doesn't sound like a good faith negotiation on the part of the Big XII commissioner. No way in the multiverse that Memphis for WVU+OU is a fair trade!

RE: Realignment Mock Draft Results
You can see the time on my post. I had some time off today to make picks. I checked in all day long and got to make none. We spent 21 hours and didn't complete 3 picks.

My grandson is down for a short time and he lives 11 hours away by air. Tomorrow we go fishing at a state park.

Sorry, but I'm out. I took too much time away from family today to try to make this work.

I'm not even giving it a thought tomorrow. AllTideUp might be willing to give it a go. If nobody took L.S.U. I would have taken them. If L.S.U. was picked by the Big 12 I would have selected South Carolina and Louisville. Both earned 140 million last year. L.S.U. earned 142. If the Big 12 had made another selection besides L.S.U. I would have considered taking Iowa as bartering material instead of Louisville because my guess was that the Big 10 would have then picked up L.S.U. to try to trade for Notre Dame. But I may have still picked South Carolina and Louisville because with the protected 5 of the SEC the first 7 would have had two 140 million earners as the lowest earners and that would have been hard to beat in the end. And in the 3rd round and the first pick of the 4th I would have gone for Mississippi State or Ole Miss, and Arkansas if any of those were available and would have considered Duke. Contiguity would have been the reason.

So anyway that would have been my strategy for those who might have wondered.

Have fun, but please remember 6 hours is too damn long for a draft selection. 4 hours could have worked for round 1 but some who dilly dallied decided they needed to leave when it was their turn to pick and that meant the Big 10 rep and the SEC rep had to wait another day. Well that day has more important plans. Folks need to keep that in mind. Other posters might also be obligated the same way.

I agree with everything you are saying. I am not a GM, but I was really intrigued by this whole process. I think it's greatest potential was if it could all be done live in a 1-2 hour window, like how most Fantasy Football drafts are conducted.

You can either do it immediately all rounds in a few hours or over a few days. I figured over a few days was the way to go given that people have other obligations. If we wanted to do it quickly over a weekend is better.

Correction, the AAC still wants to do that trade. So far we have 1 GM against and presumably 2 for (the two in the trade).

I have not seen the Big 12 GM say that he wants to do the trade. He should post in this thread whether or not he wants to do it. If he does want it, he should also explain why he thinks it's an even trade.
