Theres so many better local pizza places in this town. I hope we dont take kids to a garbage chain pizza restaurant.

I'm pretty sure this is an inside joke, and that Rob Williams was known for taking recruits out to CPK when he would host them from out of town.

The recruiting tool was Cheesecake Factory IIRC.

I've seen 50+ kids announce an offer from UAB on Twitter alone... hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Also, Cheesecake Factory with Rob Williams was the key to closing any commitment back in the day. The move now is TopGolf.

This is prime 2020 class recruiting season and we have a lot of offers out there. That's why Clark's "The family just got a whole lot better" (aka we have a commitment!) tweet Tuesday might have had nothing to do with RaJae's visit. But I obviously hope it did!

I know coach clark was being smart about Nebraska and Tennessee offering 400 kids. said how can you be their top priority at WR when they’ve offered 50 other guys at your position? Well, I’ve got at least 176 prospects added to a list that are all 2020 and have reported a UAB offer via twitter. We’ll be well over 300 by January. That’s not counting prospects with protected accounts or no social media at all. As they commit elsewhere, i’ll remove them from the list.

Lets not forget that all offers are not the same. Interest is not an offer. A conversation with a coach is not an offer. A preferred walk on offer is not the same as a scholarship offer. Kids say they have an offer when they may not. I'd think about half of the offers are actually offers. Also, pay attention to the classification of the player. Many of UAB's (and others) "offers" are 2021 and 2022.

Even 247 lists 158 offers. I don’t add unless I’ve confirmed they’re 2020, through their hudl profiles or twitter bio.

I kind of just thought of it as, let’s have 15-20 guys at each position at all times that we’d feel confident about how they’d fit on your team. As time goes on and you get an idea who is serious about you and those who are looking for something better. You pull some prospects off the board and add others to keep the pool of players at 15-20. That way you aren’t in a position much like our basketball staff is when they are filling spots at the last minute.

RE: #1 JUCO Receiver currently on visit to UAB
Coach Clark refers to committable offers. He may offer 15 receivers but will only take 4. All 15 may be committable offers, meaning if you are one of the first four to commit, we have a scholarship for you. After he reaches his quota for positions, he will inform you that the position is now full, unless you are a special player that they will still take. The issue with other schools is they will offer a scholarship that you can't really commit to unless they reach your tier of players. Clark offers are real day one.

Wilson and coach Seiler are working out a date for him to visit campus the weekend of May 25th. He also informed DubVNation that West Virginia, Iowa State and UAB are his top schools at the moment, in no particular order and will look to make a decision sometime in June.
