WBB Weekly Thread 3/3/2019
NIU now 17-11/9-7

WEEK AHEAD:
--- March 6 (Weds.) @ NIU vs. Ball State, 6 p.m.; sked says ESPN+. "Senior Night" and "Game Show Wednesday/Let's Make A Deal." Last home game, and last home game for senior Mikayla Voigt, now 7th all-time scoring.
--- March 9 (Sat.) @ WMU, 1 p.m., sked says ESPN+. Last game of regular season.

Note: Hopefully, Errin Hodges will be back. Northern played 8 vs. EMU and Toledo last week; very shallow bench.

LAST WEEK:
--- 2/27 W 70-60 vs. EMU @ Convo.
--- 3/2 L 64-53 @ Toledo

MAC Tournament begins Monday, March 11, at campus sites. NIU will host a first-round game.

Tournament moves to Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland: Weds./March 13 Quarterfinals, Fri./March 15 Semifinals, Sat./March 16 Championship.

MAC standings as of 3/3
Everyone has 2 games remaining

CMU -- 13-3
Miami-Ohio, Ohio -- 12-4

Toledo -- 10-6
NIU, Kent State -- 9-7

RE: WBB Weekly Thread 3/3/2019
Looking way too far ahead: With wins over Ball State and WMU (NIU is 1-0 against each already), and at least one tournament win, Northern will reach 20 wins. Might be good enough for a bid to the NIT. Be nice to see a post-season game at NIU again, maybe, since all games are at campus sites. NIU did finish 2-1 in the pre-season WNIT.

Another NIT berth would be fantastic considering all the injuries over the last 2 years and the loss of 2 starters this year.

Finish strong ladies

Didn’t see any of the game today. Not sure if they played well or not but good to get a win to come home with. Most importantly, Errin Hodges did play so now Lisa has nine players instead of eight. Good luck to the ladies Monday night.

RE: WBB Weekly Thread 3/3/2019
I didn't either, but for the record, NIU finshes 18-12, 10-8, wins 74-71 at WMU. Mikayla Voigt tops with 26 pts. Hodges played 16 mins and scored 8. It's great to see her back, but that bench is thin with 9. Best to the ladies on Mon. for sure.

According to the official website, Northern plays WMU again, first round, MAC Tournament, Monday at the Convo. Tipoff 5:30 p.m.

A curiousity: That will be vs. WMU three times in last 7 games, due to that storm postponement and resked end of Jan.
