New Football-Basketball Season Ticket Holder
Greetings!
An UAB grad at work and I - - an UCF grad and transplant from Orlando - - have picked up season tickets for Football and Basketball. I'm also a (much larger, apologies) UCF donor and season ticket holder as well (been going to the games since '89/Division II, donor since the '90s, consistent donor early '00s), but have trouble making it back for mid-week football and most basketball games. Given UAB and UCF only have really a single home football weekend conflicting this year, I decided to pick up football season tickets. I also picked basketball as well, and will likely continue them going forward. When I'm not in town, my co-worker will use my seats.
So...
Being that I'll be around for almost a half-dozen UAB football games this year, and then a great number of basketball games, please pass along any and all information on the following for my fellow co-worker and myself ...
- UAB sporting event traditions, chants, etc...
- Best places to buy UAB wear, especially 2x polos and visors (as I'm not into caps)
- Any other information I should be aware of
I may still sport some UCF attire at games, but will try to have as much, if not more, UAB gear on, out of respect for the 'home team.'
- UCFBS
P.S. Clark should have won AP Coach of the Year, and it's criminal that he wasn't a finalist. Clark '17-18 was virtually a replay of Frost '16-17, even if not quite the same 'record,' he had a heck of a lot less to work with than Frost to start! A number of Knights, including myself, felt like he was the most deserving, even though our coach Heupel joined Kelly and Saban as finalists. The fact that he wasn't even a finalist is just criminal, and most Knights can at least agree on that.
