UAB Soccer vs Birmingham Legion (CLOSED TO PUBLIC)
Get a look at Coach Kinney and The Blazers, the Legion, and BBVA Compass Field on Saturday, March 2nd. Kickoff time is still TBA.

UAB Men's Soccer Spring Schedule

*The Legion have two former Blazers on roster: Defenders Mathieu Laurent and Gael Mabiala

**Called the Legion today about the friendly and was told that it's closed to the public. The nice lady didn't know why it was listed on UAB's spring schedule.

Apologies to everyone.

I’d go if I were not out of town. The new stadium looks fantastic.

I haven't been by yet but I heard the same thing. Looking forward to checking it out. Bathrooms? Concession stand? No more rustic charms like porta-potties and a concessions folding table.

I remember going down there in the 80's and watching games from the bed of a pickup parked in the Days Inn lot. Not on university property then so cold beer was a fan-supplied concession. Heaps of verbal abuse for the opposition was also in plentiful supply. Not a lot of wins but good days. Not any good nights because there were no lights for the field.

Gonna be strange seeing a different coach on those sidelines. I understand why Coach G won't be there but it will be sad (for me at least). He played such an instrumental role in making BC Field happen.

Ah well, onwards and upwards. Go Blazer Futbol!
