Wonder if C.C. is interested and has an available scholarship.

Hunter can play as could his daddy...

Murphy would if he was football coach CC no this guy and his family have prima donna written all over them which is why he left MSU.
Unfortunately, I've to agree, but if he came to Emu, and performed, that's how you get over the hump, and win MAC championships! He's a gifted athlete!

Without saying 'ya or nay' my only point is that Lucas Luft was his teammate at Fullerton.

I'm sure C.C. could ask, "What kind of teammate was he...?"

I would take that input in the decision making process.

Is he Glenn Bryant or JTIV or inbetween? Doesn't matter not worth the risk.

If we won the MAC championship in football, is it worth the risk?

I truly don't know what kind of kid Rison is.

That said, as a coach you establish program standards and expectations and you set them in stone. Lowering those standards to accommodate a special talent seldom results in a championship season, to the contrary, it usually has a corrosive effect on the entire team and they subsequently underachieve. Witness the senior years of Ray Lee and JT4, both teams were preseason favorites.

Coach K at Duke has indeed shifted his recruiting strategy. Think about his recruits of prior championships. Grant Hill, Christian Laettner, Jay Billas, Shane Battier, Jay Williams, Chris Collins, I could go on and on, solid citizens who have gone on to successful careers after basketball and represent the University well. Recently he is coaching Grayson Allen, Kyrie Irving and Zion Williamson, all great players but hardly the high quality people Krzyzewski used to attract. K is a FABULOUS coach, but I wonder how he truly feels about the current state of his program.

He can do that with the guys already on the roster. Hunter can help Ferris St.

I noticed that former EMU player Marc Hairston (RB) is on the roster for Trine University, DIII.

Honestly Jeff he showed some promise when I saw him in the spring game two years ago. Who knows why he landed there? D3 has no scholarships, perhaps he made a decision based on academics or just being close to home in Indiana. Wish him well.

Trine is a very fine and respected academic school! Maybe, that was his decision!

Is he an EMU commit or not? Haven't seen his name on the roster.

Sounds like either test scores or grades and now clearinghouse issues perhaps.

His Twitter is Doni_Era19.
His tweets don't explain the late signing.

WR. Logan Giordano #84 is no longer on the roster. So it appears a scholar opened up late and Wright filled it.

Giordano might have been a preferred walk on.

I would normally agree, but with Covid and how the FB season is so messed up, who knows.

As I have been saying, EMU (and most schools) have to figure out how to work the numbers.

I doubt EMU wants two full recruiting classes with the 2020 class and a 2021 class without any seniors automatically coming off the roster.

If Wright committed but did not sign, maybe he will enroll in a later date.

Donivan Wright, Lawrence Central, WR, Sr. — The 6-foot, 175-pound Wright was Lawrence Central’s top receiver as a junior (2018), catching 51 passes for 972 yards and 13 touchdowns. Wright can also be a dangerous part of the return game.

Most unusual recruiting case I've seen in following EMU recruiting for almost 30 years.
