Weather this week
NIU has already announced closures for Monday until 5PM and Tuesday 10PM to Wednesday 10PM.
No announced MBBB/Webb game time changes as of yet. But look for it to happen

Game is at 6. I figured they announced 10 pm for late classes to get. Game should be done before late classes are out.

Wonder if we’ll see cancellations across the midwest. DeKalb is -19/-28 Wednesday.

If the visiting team is here, they will play. Too many fix cost to cancel the game.

FYI- The pond on Lincoln Highway has frozen over and ice skating/hockey is now allowed. Anybody have any memories and/or stories about skating or playing hockey on the pond??

I met my future wife on that ice in 1991. Great memories.

RE: Weather this week
Northern makes it official: On Tuesday, the NIU men's team's game versus Ohio at the Convo will tip off at 5 p.m. (CT), two hours earlier than its previously scheduled start.
The women's basketball game at the Convo versus Western Michigan has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 31, at 6 p.m. (Was sked for Wednesday at 6 pm).
Apparently, this is to get the men's game going before the brunt of the cold, and the women's game after.

Alot of good memories and skating for hours out there, one pick game would end, wait abit, and another starts up! The cold was so much more tolerable back then!! I stopped playing hockey for 2 decades after school, and then by some off chance I started again and haven't stopped since. (yes I'm older)
