All ive gotta say is that we had better be ready to shell out the big bucks to whoever were looking at. Not gonna settle for any mediocre bull**** after the season we just had.
If you want a serious answer the guy I want if our coach leaves is John Grass @ Jacksonville State. He is 37-1 in conference play

List of potential coaches from the WS Journal
I know App fans are developing favorites from this list but none of them would really move the needle for me if GS was looking at a coach from this list. Reading the bios from this article the first one I'd interview would be Ruffin McNeil. At least he's a proven FBS HC.

His records....dont look overly impressive. Only one 10-3 season as a HC.

Of course, hiring a new head coach is always somewhat of a gamble but hiring someone who has not been a successful head coach at some level is even more so. Three of the four head coaches that GS has fired were successful assistants or coordinators that couldn't or didn't want to handle the administrative, organizational, or discipline responsibilities of the head coach's job.

Rittenberg says the frontrunners are Woody (GT), Ledford (NC State), and Sloan (Southern)
Where did he say those are the frontrunners? Anyone who mentions Shawn Elliott, especially if misspelled, has no clue. He's correct that App will want a coach with direct ties, but he's throwing darts.

Yall should definitely hire Ruffin McNeill. He had a pretty good stretch at ECU including that 10 win season and I'm sure all the credit belongs to him and definitely not his OC at the time.

Woody is a great DC, but his personality doesn't translate to HC, especially if we look for someone with a heavy recruiting pedigree.

I really feel like we need to give Bryan Brown the offer of HC, else he's going with Satt to Louisville. Pure damage control.

I believe he heard the first three and made his on inference with Elliot. I'd imagine Satterfield helped with the list of top 3 candidates and those are probably them as he coached with all three. I personally would want Ledford, but would be ok with the other two. Getting Sloan would make for great message board chatter on here.

Look at UCF. They didn't sh*t their pants when it came to losing a good coach. They reloaded and still ran the table with a guy who had zero connections to UCF.
App needs to find a guy who can manage what the team has and recruit to fit a cohesive style.

How much of Frost's coaching staff went with him though? Thats what im worried about. We need to keep as many people here as we can.

Frost took the OC, the DC, TE, OL, DL, D-back, and Inside-LB coaches
