BJ stepping up is what this team needed. It is really good to see him start to play well in his final year. This team has everything you need to win a conference championship except...a third consistent scorer. Hopefully that comes as the year goes on.

That will come when Green gets more confidence. If he can average 11 ppg and Carver could get like 5 ppg. That would be huge.

Looks like they have made Green the designated defensive stopper this season. He is covering the other teams outside top scorer like a glove so far. Gonna be hard for him to score much more when he puts so much into his D. Like Jones said on post game show, the box score might show Green went 2-7 but he was one of the keys to our performance. Sure I would like to see a few more points from him each game and I think that will indeed happen. The guy I think we really need to pick up some scoring slack is Godwin. He's not hitting much ... yet. I expect that to change though. He is not missing by much. When he finds his stroke, we are gonna be really tough.

JMU was up 9 on Radford early. It's now tied at 35 at halftime.

JMU beats Radford 73-66. That should help our RPI, BPI, Kenpom, BM, and whatever else they use nowadays.

I agree 100 % mac. I think Godwin will break out any game now. Plus I expect Green will begin to score more as well though like you say, he is working so hard on defense it may take away from his scoring some but there is room for him to improve in that area. Both he and Godwin have a nice stroke and it should come soon. I think we will see Dickens pick up the slack some as well as he gains more confidence. It looks like Wade is going to get some of Carver's minutes and he will score some, maybe not a ton this year. But if he sees an opening in the lane he is going to the rack. That is what Carver doesn't do.

No offense, but what would cause you to think Carver will/could get 5 a game? He has hardly scored 5 points all year. His playing time is actually diminishing some. I think others will pick up those 5 points in the minutes Carver was playing earlier.

Godwin's shot seems to be flat so far this year. If he can just get his legs into it and get the arc back into his shot, I think they will start falling again. BJ's shot was really flat, and he wasn't elevating like he usually does early, but he seemed to find the stroke in the VCU game.

Kenpom went from 98 to 95 yesterday. Doesn't hurt, but it doesn't really matter either.
