Let me guess, it’s for teams with a current record of 3-7, it will be played in July, and will result in a $50,000 plus up to Bobby’s salary...

Perfect location for a CUSA east team to go bowling. Just wouldnt want to play CCU there. Always thought they should host one at the Citadel in Charleston too.

Apparently they reduced capacity at El Cid to 15K-ish, so that's probably too small even for a minor bowl.

For most bowls that would be true, but even with reduced capacity a G5 vs. G5 type bowl would be great there. Rather than spreading 19,000 people around a 30,000 seat stadium, it would truly sell out and be an exciting big-time bowl-like atmosphere. And with it being right in Charleston the food, night-life and activities would be great. It would be a hot ticket and look great on TV.
Frisco Bowl- 14,419
Bahamas Bowl - 13,585 (mostly no shows)
Potato Bowl-16,512
Gasparilla Bowl - 16,363

This is probably the death of the Dallas Bowl and the only contacted CUSA Bowl opportunity vs. a P5 school.
