Drives me nuts when people can't spell the city correctly. I get that usually, on the main conference board, they do it to disrespect us. I laughed a little when the folks from OU (Oklahoma) did it (when we played the Sooners back ten years ago) because they honestly didn't know any better. But ESPN are supposed to be professionals...with spell check. I don't think they care enough to deliberately troll us like this and I have to believe they're not stupid... So I'm left with just plain laziness and ineptitude as the explanation.

Even though our schedule has been very weak, there is no doubt this team is better than last year and should even be better next year. I think we get to 6-0 and split the last 6, finishing 9-3.

I just watched the replay since I was unable to watch the game today. I was surprised UConn stayed with UC for most of the first half, with a little help from that bad snap/fumble.

UC still has a some work to do on defense. But I really like what I am seeing on offense. UC's receivers have improved this year and Ridder is looking great.

Missed the game. Looking for highlights. CBS has about 3 plays. Anyone got something better?

UC Twitter always puts the highlights up a couple hours after the game

Anyone hear anything on Garrent Campbell's ankle? He walked off the field so i'm guessing it's a bad sprain.

One of the more encouraging signs was after Jakari Robinson came off the field after the first bad snap the number of guys who came over to pick him up. Came back in and we rolled . That's good to see. We've got some young talent. Onward to Tulane!

I agree they are lazy but I guarantee Tennessee or Mississippi wouldn't be misspelled.

RE: It's GAME DAY: Week 5, UC @ UConn GAMETHREAD
random thoughts - was at block party and tried to follow game on my phone.

It felt like UCONN fell apart in the 2nd half. I loved the score, but we still don't know how good our team is yet. UCLA and UCONN are dumpster fires, and neither Miami or OU have really been impressive to date.

I have to admire Randy Edsall standing up and directing all blame to himself. Too many coaches don't do that. He is in rebuilding, and I suspect his players will rally to him. He might have a decent team in a year or three. I hope he does. (Decent, not great.)

Is Tulane really going to be our best opponent through the first half of the season? I did not see that coming.

It was fun seeing that a lot of players got PT in the second half. That should serve us well in the second half of the season.

Uconn fell apart in the first half. The only reason it wasn't 28 to 7 at the half is we fumbled deep in their territory after Campbell went down with the bad ankle. We only punted twice the entire game, and other than the first drive they really were pretty ineffective on offense when we brought in the nickel back after the initial series. That was a butt kicking for 4 quarters. If we'd played starters entire game we run up 70 points.
