RE: Game 2: FIU vs ODU
Critical stats vs FIU that makes me think BW and Nagy are getting out coached.

1st Downs: FIU 25 ODU 16
3rd Down Efficiency: FIU 7-16 ODU 3-13
4th Down Efficiency: FIU 2-2 ODU 0-1
Rushing Yds: FIU 189 ODU 93

Zero push from the O-line. Most runs up the middle ended with zero or negative yds. Conversely FIU could get hit behind the line and still end up with 3 or 4 yds.

Nagy's 3rd down defense is the worst in the country. He is a terrible defensive coordinator.

This has been true more years than not. Very frustrating to see a potentially good defensive p[lay turn into a 5 yard gain, time after time after time.

Completely untrue. He stayed positive and fired up teammates when not in game

Was that too among the whispers you heard?

No, I sit directly behind the bench. Williams stayed positive and encouraged teammates when he was not in the game. He was the only offensive player that huddled with special teams and defense and tried to rally them.

I have no idea if he sulked in the locker room or what not, but the references to his demeanor on the field is bull****. I have not idea why a couple fans want to create negative vibes aimed at him.

You could really see the difference at running back. It's true, they would be hit behind the line and fall forward for 2 yards. Our OL would create a hole and the RB would be slow to hit it and all of a sudden the OL blocks for a 5 yard play and the RB gets 1. Even Spencer was a bit slow to hit the hole or he may have housed it.

If it happens once or twice, I can live with that. But it happens constantly. Its a symptom of poor gang tackling and pursuit on the ball.

However I think we have a stud in Lawrence Garner. I was impressed with his play.

Wilder is probably not going to be fired after this year, and things will get worse for ODU football. I have things I want to say, but I might hurt BW's feelings, so I'll keep them to myself. Good job coach!!! You're doing great!!!

A sacrifice is needed to apease the fanatics. Unfortunately for Willaims an under-performing QB1 is the standard. Anything that can be construed as negative will be held against him, no matter what the actual situation is.

Could SW be making some better plays, sure. But lets not ignore the fact that he is being rotated and the offensive line is trash. No run blocking or pass protection whatsoever!

"He is the most popular guy in town, beloved and flawless, a magic pill who could solve everything if only the coach would just come to his senses.

And then the No. 2 quarterback enters a game and takes a sack or throws a pick or fires a pass over an open receiver's head and he's a bum, just like the guy he replaced in the lineup."

It really is confusing though that Drayton is the #2QB and Blake has entered before him numerous times now. Why not move him to #3 on the depth chart then? I'd love to at least see what he can do. Its not like he's going to redshirt or anything. Couldn't have hurt anything, at least in the LU game.

It may have gotten lost in the shuffle of such a big blown opportunity (and a putrid 2nd half) but that Cox one hander was special.

Yeah, my family was extra impressed when I told them he was our RB who made that catch. Difficult enough for a WR
