RE: 2018 ODU Wide Receiver Unit
Not much chatter about Robert Mayo. He was the highest rated WR we signed. Im hoping he winds up being to good to redshirt this season.

Johnathan Duhart - Back for his last season from injury, imo he was a huge missing piece last year. After his injury we just didnt have any consistency from the WRs. If he is healthy all year he could put up huge numbers
Key Role Players
Isaiah Harper - speedy slot receiver that is going to be a big part the offense
Travis Fulgham - needs a big bounce back year, has tons of talent.
Young WRs
Noah Ellison
Amari Colbert
Hassan Patterson
Top Recruits
Robert Mayo
Nigel Fitzgerald
I'm looking for this unit to have a good year and really step up after last years performance, I know some of it was because of a new QB but they dropped a lot of open passes from SW. This year they will be much better and deeper.
Cross off Colbert. He is gone
Just out of curiosity.. you're joking about Northwestern and Stanford not P5 potential, right?

Wow. My status flew right over your head. The fact that you thought it was a jab at NW and Stanford

RE: 2018 ODU Wide Receiver Unit
My issue with the WR unit is speed. I don't recall many times we showed separation speed at all in 2017. Offensively I don't believe we'll be any better this year if we are not significantly faster at WR than last year. Teams can go easier on coverage allowing them to stack the box to stuff our run game.

One of the things Wilder yelled about at media day was getting Harper more touches. He's got a bit of speed to him.

Fulgham can be pretty explosive and was SWs 2nd favorite (returning) receiver last year. He just needs to run cleaner routes and be more consistent.

How about learning how to catch the ball and not drop easy passes.

Blame it on my southern roots, that is what I was alluding to when I said "be more consistent".
