I have been to Trophy Room for a game. They do a nice job. The game I went to there were several former players in attendance, including Harnish who could not have been nicer reaching out to say hi to all the Huskie fans.

So they sold it to Oklahoma Alumni?

Many bars downtown have more than one college team affiliation. Guessing they added a P5 team to the mix so NIU wasn't their only Sat draw.

Many bars downtown have more than one college team affiliation. Guessing they added a P5 team to the mix so NIU wasn't their only Sat draw.

Psh they had to add a P5 so they could have ANY Saturday draw, seeing as we play on Tuesday.

This would be perfect for me if I was back in Chicago. Grew up rooting for the Sooners because that’s where my family lived/lives. Since I grew up in Illinois decided to go to NIU, and Huskies are my team. Still watch all of OUs games as well though too, so to have both would be fun if I’m in town one fall weekend.

I went to school with the owners of trophy room and they also own Estate. I still remember the NIU watch party for the Orange Bowl at Estate. Awesome atmosphere. I hope the football team gets back easier scheduling and dominant records, because it will make the experience so much better, but yes support the NIU alumni if you can.
