RE: 2018-19 C-USA offseason baseball thread
My cousin was an assistant AD at North Texas, and was working on restarting Baseball there until he moved to Texas State. He eventually moved to Georgia Tech and is still there. I am not sure what happened to his work in baseball when he left.

Well he's not the only CUSA player playing in the MLB playoffs I realize, but Boston's Brock Holt (Rice University) just became the first player in MLB postseason history to hit for the cycle tonight in the Red Sox blowout victory over the Yankees.

We don't play WKU. Interesting. Figured it would be FIU.

Our Missouri pitcher (Blake Greenwood) got a waiver from the NCAA to become immediately eligible for the 2019 season. Apparently, he might be our Sunday weekend starter.

Marshall needs to build a mini dome so we can get our baseball games and practices in. Even if its one of those giant temporary bubbles.

Coosa players on D1's 2019 college prospect list: Wallner #13, Shenton #35, Canterino #39

Didn't realize Tyler Myrick blew out his elbow. Out for 2019.

Depends how you define best. Not the highest draft pick and there are other HOF level mlb players from the conference but he’s certainly up there.

Collegiate Baseball poll is out. Generally the least respected of the polls, but it's something.

Southern Miss #30
Rice RV

FAU RV

And Marshall has released their schedule.

I noticed early in the season Marshall has an 11 game homestand (final 3 of it is a CUSA series vs FIU) with the location being Huntington, WV. Also, all their CUSA series are the same location as well. Did Marshall do something to allow them to host games in Huntington now?

EDIT...never mind, read the article and found my answer:
Marshall will open its home slate with a three game series with Binghamton at Kennedy Center Field, which will also be the site for the Thundering Herd's Conference USA contests this season.

"We are really looking forward to this spring," said Marshall head coach Jeff Waggoner. "We will return a senior group that is very special and has played for a regular-season league title during its time on campus. This schedule features challenging teams and they will test us."

"I would also like to thank our administration for its efforts to ensure that all of our home games are played here this season. That means a great deal to myself, our staff and our student-athletes."
