Even if it turns out to be a meaningless matchup, it needs to be treated as any other game just to at least make people want to buy season tickets next season.

That is the thing... If you are Alabama maybe it is meaningless but not for NIU. EVERY GAME REFLECTS ON THE UNIVERSITY.

True. From a football standpoint in terms of post-season meaning, a game against LA Tech or Troy means zilch. But if fans see a team quit like last season, it seriously lowers motivation to follow the team. So moral of the story, fake it! Act like you are excited even if there is not real reason to be. In the end, its good for the program.

It was hard to sit thru the bowl game last year. Zero energy. Nice to see some positive energy and hope it lasts!
